Obstructive Sleep Apnea
This course is approved by NCBAHM/NCCAOM (10 AOM-AC), California (Category 1), Florida (General), Texas (10 General) and British Columbia (Canada)
This course explores the etiology, pathogenesis, and acupuncture treatment methods for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. It systematically analyzes how congenital deficiencies, airway obstruction, internal accumulation of phlegm-dampness, emotional disorders, and chronic illness or overstrain lead to dysfunction of the lungs, spleen, and kidneys, resulting in disrupted qi flow and phlegm obstructing the throat. The course highlights high-frequency acupoints, including those from the Ren meridian, stomach meridian, spleen meridian, kidney meridian, and specific points such as Lianquan (RN 23), Fenglong (ST40), etc., as well as auricular points. The content also covers the selection of acupoints based on syndrome differentiation and the combined application of acupuncture and auricular point pressing therapy.
